Our Little Dragons
Purpose: Our purpose is to provide young children with the positive influence of the martial arts. This specially designed program is a total learning activity that stresses the learning of positive values and good character.
Ages: Children age 7-10 years
Instructors Mission Statement: We pledge to help young people learn patience, concentration, humility, self-discipline, self-control, and respect. We intend to enhance the successful lives of children through both personal development and achievement.
February - Terminology
This month's focus for the Little Dragons is terminology. While learning Tang Soo Do, children will also be engaged in exercises and games to help them learn the Korean terminology that we use in class. Terminology is one of the most common reasons for students to drop out of Tang Soo Do. We are a traditional art, and as such, we embrace the traditional speech of our art. What students learn in class helps them develop reasoning and memory skills. Recognizing parts of Korean terms or words and putting them together quickly will also help them as they test for new ranks or go to clinics or tournaments in the future.
